An international project from the General Library of the Custody of the Holy Land Marco Francalanci, Universidad de Alcalá, Alcalá de Henares Maddalena Baschirotto, Pro Terra Sancta, Jerusalem The General Library of the Custody of the Holy Land holds an important collection of Itineraad Loca Sancta, which are descriptions of pilgrimages written throughout the Middle Ages and the Modern period. The OPAC collects both the early editions preserved in the Library and the virtual ones. The Ancient Pilgrimage in Holy Land Digital Library project aims to create a census of all the printed editions (XV-XVIII century) of Itinera ad Loca Sancta, with accurate bibliographical descriptions and – if possible – digital reproductions of copies held in important European libraries. Presenting the characteristics of the project, the features of the Digital Library and the importance of this research tool will be highlighted.
