אני היסטוריון של העת העתיקה, החוקר בעיקר ריטואלים ושיח ריטואלי בדתות האימפריה הרומית ובשלהי העת העתיקה. בשנים האחרונות, התרכזתי בטומאה וטהרה בנצרות המוקדמת ובהקשריה ההיסטוריים, ובאופיין המשתנה של שבועות ונדרים בתרבויות של האימפריה הרומית. כיום אני עובד בנוסף גם על אש ואור בדתות העולם העתיק, ועל פרויקט דיגיטלי שמטרתו לבנות להנגיש טקסטים מהעולם העתיק בחיפוש נושאי.
